Dance Puppets Dance!

Yes! This is your chance to script a real puppet show with SELFCollective's Writers' Group!

Sunday October 12th, 2-6pm, at the Station Pub, Hither Green.

This is an open event hosted by the Writers' Group of the South East London Film Collective for anyone interested in writing or colloborating on a showcase piece for Matt Owen's weird and wonderful puppets! See link for visuals...

We'll be meeting for general introductions at 2pm at the Station Pub, Hither Green, and then on to Matt's workshop in Hither Green to acquaint ourselves with the stars of the show and brainstorm the bejesus out of their narrative possibilities until around 5. The resulting ideas will be yours to keep and/or develop with the writers' group at our fortnightly meetings.

This is a really good opportunity to start a fresh and unique project, meet the writers' group, start collaborations and get writing again! Hit me back if you need further details! This seems to be the point at which I make a pun on strings being attached but, y'know what, I think I'll let it be.

Self Collective's writers' group is currently seeking new members. The purpose of the Writers' Group is to provide constructive feedback on scripts at all stages of development in an informal and supportive environment to improve the quality of our work. SELFC's unscripted project ParkLife requires confident actors who can respond quickly and imaginatively to a given scenario. You will be no talking prop. You will be the life blood of the beast!

Kate, Paul and Amir have begun planning an experimental video based event for this summer.

Please bring us your unused outtakes, b-roll, interviews gone-wrong etc. from your recent video projects to be used in our upcoming live dub event.

The Project:
Piecing together scrap throw away footage from local filmmakers projects which will be live mixed, dubbed and combined with live music
